Hour House is looking for a full-time Building/Grounds Maintenance Worker.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of 1 year related experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, regulations and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to effectively present information on a one-on-one and small group situation.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measure, volume, area, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registration Requirements: The employee must have a valid Illinois Driver's License and maintain a good driving record.
Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, frequently is required to walk; use hands to find, handle, or feel objects; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; and crouch; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pound, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occassionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Other abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, hearing, and speech.
The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

Schedule: 8 hour shift
