Hour House seeks to hire a Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) Recovery Navigator to help develop a supportive community response to those recovering from substance use disorders (SUD). Hour House is hiring six Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) Council Recovery Navigators.
Responsibilities and Duties
ROSC Council Recovery Navigators are individuals in recovery from Substance Use Disorder (SUD) who will work alongside ROSC Council coordinators and community stakeholders to build communities responsive to those in recovery from SUD. ROSC Council Recovery Navigators will work in one of the following counties or combination of counties: Coles, Clark-Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Effingham, Moultrie-Shelby. Recovery Navigators will ideally reside in the county they serve. Under the ROSC Council Coordinator's direct supervision, Recovery Navigators will act as a community resource and assist stakeholders in identifying and reducing barriers to recovery. Recovery Navigators will foster a strong relationship with local recoverees and community stakeholders. They will provide support and assistance in navigating social services, educational institutions, family re-engagement, and employment opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Recovery Navigators must have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of uninterrupted recovery from a substance use disorder, be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and be able to pass all background checks. Additional competencies needed are reading skills, computer skills, people skills, dependability, trustworthiness, and self-motivation to excel. Work will be hybrid with a combination of work from home, community-based work, and office hours.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience: Uninterrupted Sobriety: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)

COVID-19 considerations: All customers and staff are required to wear a mask. All staff are required to receive the vaccination unless they provide a legitimate religious or medical exemption. If a staff person provides and exemption form they must provide weekly testing results
