Accounting/Human Resources Clerk

 Hour House is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting/HR Clerk who specializes in payroll and accounts payable (AP). This dual-role position supports both the accounting and human resources functions, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and employee records. The ideal candidate will be organized and comfortable working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and manage accounts payable with accuracy and      timeliness.
  • Maintain and update employee records including personal data, tax, benefits, and attendance.
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, file management, and compliance reporting.
  • Prepare and compile reports for payroll, HR, and  financial documentation.
  • Respond to employee and auditor inquiries using appropriate documentation.
  • Assist with general administrative and accounting support, including staff scheduling and coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in payroll and accounts payable is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ADP is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No nights
  • No weekends


Work Location: In person


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
