Human Resources Director

Hour House in Charleston, IL, seeks to hire a 1-Full Time, Human Resources (HR) Director. The HR Director will report to the Executive Director and will be responsible for human resources functions of the agency.    

Responsibilities and Duties 

Their primary responsibilities will include assuring compliance with laws and regulations, developing and implementing human resources policies, supporting strategic objectives, planning and executing agency staff training, interviewing position applicants, delivering staff orientation, assisting in staff wellness programs and managing performance reviews.

Qualifications and Skills

The most qualified candidates will have experience representing an agency in the community, assuring compliance, developing policy, and recruiting and retention of staff.  Candidates will have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.  A successful candidate will also facilitate consistent communication between themselves and the organization's administrative staff and Board to ensure strategic goals are met.   A Master's degree in human resources, business, or a closely related field with related employment experience in human resources is preferred.  Those with a Bachelor’s degree and human resources experience may be considered.  The right candidate will understand human resource issues specific to behavioral health services.  Candidates must be able to pass all background checks and have a valid driver’s license.

Substance Use Disorder Counselor

Full-time counselor position available in our substance use treatment programs. The counselor will provide counseling direct services to adults in early recovery from substance use disorder in our residential, halfway, recovery home, or outpatient programs. Responsibilities include assessment, individual therapy, and family and group counseling. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or closely related field preferred, entry level candidates considered. This position’s work schedule involves evening and/or weekend shifts in the provision of clinical services. Excellent verbal and written communication required. Candidates shall hold substance use disorder counselor certification from ICB, Inc. or licensure as an LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW or be prepared to attain one such credential within two (2) years of employment in the position.

Full or part time position available in our social setting, medically monitored detoxification program. Work hours to include evenings, nights and weekends. Valid Illinois license as a Practical Nurse or Emergency Medical Technician required.

Monitor

Full or part time position responsible for ensuring the safety of the clients and facility, providing direct service support and crisis intervention to clients, enforcing program structure, performing light housekeeping tasks, transporting clients to appointments in agency vehicles, assisting in the admission of people seeking help and completing documentation regarding client services in the electronic health record. Dependability in attendance and availability for flexible scheduling is essential. Work shifts include evenings or nights and weekends. Experience and/or education in social services is preferred but entry level candidates are welcomed.

Full time Accounts Payable Specialist position responsible for completing check writing functions. Experience with Excel and other accounting functions including insurance collections, billing and claims preferred. Work shifts include Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Associates degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.

Fitness Instructor

Full or part time position to instruct substance use disorder clients in individual and group services regarding the benefits and techniques of fitness and recreation in recovery. Engages in treatment planning with clients and documents services provided in the agency’s electronic health record. Work shifts may include some evenings or weekends. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in exercise or recreation field of study preferred, equivalent experience considered.
