Getting Started

Starting on the path to recovery is as simple as contacting us at 217-348-8108 or visiting us at the Hour House in Charleston, IL for an assessment. After a free, no-obligation screening on the phone or in-person, we will provide a suggested next-step plan for what you need or refer you to another agency.


Individual cost varies with services. We accept insurance, Medicaid, Managed Care Medicaid, private pay and all major credit cards.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services

In compliance with our State funding, CEAD Council (d/b/a Hour House) gives admission priority to the following patients (unless such priority would violate State of Federal Law):  pregnant women with injecting drug use, pregnant women with a substance use disorder, individuals with injecting drug use, post-partum women and women with children; DCFS referred persons, TANF, DOC releases and those with service in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Central East Alcoholism and Drug Council (d/b/a Hour House) is accredited through CARF, licensed and funded in whole or in part through the Illinois Department of Human Services: Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
