Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Hour House, a private, non-profit behavioral health organization. This position reports directly to the Business Director and plays a vital role in supporting our employees and ensuring compliance with all HR standards and regulations. 

 

The HR Coordinator will lead and assist with a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and policy development, while also serving as a resource to staff and management on HR-related matters. 


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee recruiting, interviewing, and selection processes to attract and retain qualified staff. 
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding, ensuring compliance with agency, state, and federal requirements. 
  • Assist with employee training, development, and performance evaluation processes. 
  • Maintain up-to-date HR records, including personnel files, compliance documentation, and licensure/certifications. 
  • Advise supervisors and employees on HR policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, accreditation standards, and agency policies. 
  • Collaborate with leadership on policy development, strategic initiatives, and workforce planning. 
  • Support a positive workplace culture through employee engagement and retention efforts. 


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or a non-profit setting. 
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. 
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 


Pay From:  $58,000 - $65,000
