Hour House seeks to fill Full or Part time Monitor positions providing 24-hour awake staffing pattern in the agency’s detoxification, residential and extended care programs.
Hour House provides treatment services for men and women with Substance Use Disorders in (4) four residential locations, three in Charleston and one in Lerna. We are hiring monitors to work from 4pm to midnight. This position requires that staff be awake throughout the shift. Preference will be given to those who have experience working in social services or are working towards a degree in a related field.
Responsibilities:
Monitors ensure the safety of the clients and facility, provide emotional support to clients, enforce program structure, perform housekeeping tasks, transport clients to work in agency vehicles, assist in the admission of people seeking help, and complete documentation regarding the clients in an electronic medical record. Dependability in attendance is very important.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, 21 years of age and a current Illinois driver’s license are required. College education in a social service major preferred, student applicants welcomed. Candidates must be able to pass all background checks. Available shifts include days, evenings, midnights and weekends.
