Monitor – Residential Services

Hour House in Charleston, IL, provides treatment services for men and women with Substance Use Disorders (SUD). We are currently hiring Monitors to support our residential programs and ensure a safe, supportive, and structured recovery environment. Monitors play a vital role in assisting clients, maintaining program structure, and providing both practical and emotional support. We are seeking dependable, compassionate individuals with strong communication and crisis intervention skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in social services or who are working toward a degree in a related field. We are hiring for multiple shifts: Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, and Overnight Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. 


Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Ensure the safety of clients and facility. 
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients in recovery. 
  • Enforce program structure and guidelines consistently. 
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed. 
  • Transport clients in agency vehicles for work or appointments. 
  • Assist with client admissions and orientation to the program. 
  • Document client activity and progress in the electronic medical record system. 
  • Model professionalism and dependability in attendance and conduct. 


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exercise in crisis intervention and conflict management preferred.
  • Background in social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred. 
  • Ability to supervise and manage client behavior effectively. 
  • Knowledge of addiction recovery, case management, or childcare/behavior management techniques a plus. 
  • First Aid certification and medication administration experience preferred. 
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and motivated to support individuals in recovery. 


Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
