Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist

The Prevention Specialist will work as part of a team of individuals providing Substance use prevention services in 6 area counties. Their duties will include working as a team member in the delivery of evidence-based curriculum in school classrooms for 4th-9th graders, organizing drug take back events in area communities, and working with youth coalitions to organize National Prevention week activities and communication campaigns.  


Responsibilities and Duties:

Teaching, coalition building, community contacts, and planning.  


Qualifications and Skills: 

Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. Also requires excellent oral and written communication skills, ability and willingness to provide classroom instruction, professional demeanor, valid driver’s license, and great people skills. Candidates must be able to pass all background checks and have a valid driver’s license.  


Job Type: 1-Full Time (August 1 start date) and 1- Part Time (July 1 start date)    


Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour  


Schedule:  8 hour shift, Monday to Friday 


Education:  Bachelor's (Required)  


Driver's License: (Required) 


Work Location: One location
