Hour House is seeking to fill a Prevention Specialist position adding to our team of professionals in specialized prevention services.
The Prevention Specialist will work as part of a team of individuals in both Douglas and Coles counties providing Substance use prevention services. Their duties will include working as a team member in the delivery of evidence-based curriculum in school classrooms for 4th-9th graders, organizing drug take back events in area communities, and working with youth coalitions to organize National Prevention week activities and communication campaigns.
Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred. Also requires excellent oral and written communication skills, ability and willingness to provide classroom instruction, professional demeanor and great people skills. Candidates must be able to pass all background checks and have a valid driver's license.
