As Program Director, Janna leads the clinical care team of coordinators, clinicians, and monitors. She is responsible for clinical program development, recruitment, interviewing, and training of new and continuing staff, coordination with external agencies, and insuring compliance with clinical rules and regulations.
Janna has worked in non-profit organizations and education since 1982. At the Hour House she has worked in Detox, Women’s, Outpatient, and Prevention Services. Additionally, she served as Program Director of county wide Outpatient Substance Abuse, HIV, Prevention, and Mental Health services.
At Lake Land College, she served as Coordinator of Dislocated Worker Services. She also served as Psychology adjunct faculty at both Eastern Illinois University and Lake Land College for 20 years. Additionally, she served as Director of the Academy of Lifelong Learning at Eastern Illinois University and Executive Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.

Women's Halfway House and Recovery Home Coordinator

Amanda oversees the clinical operations of our women’s services in our halfway house, recovery homes, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Services. In her role as Women’s Services Coordinator she also supervises the professional counseling and monitoring staff who work in these gender-specific counseling services.
This intentional focus on women’s unique issues helps our team bring the best resources and treatment options to women in our programs.

As an Men's Residential and Halfway House Coordinator and the Coles County Drug Court Liaison, Tammi sees firsthand the effect of substance use treatment upon individuals and families in our communities.
Tammi was honored to present about Substance Use Disorders at the National Rural Institute on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Alumni Award at EIU in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department.

As Prevention Coordinator, Michelle provides substance use disorder prevention services for Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Effingham, Moultrie and Shelby Counties.
Michelle has worked for Hour since 1996 and is excited about the growing resources the agency can offer for primary prevention. Her belief in treatment everyone the same, no matter where they are at in their life, helps her be the best example, educator and peer that she can be.

Karen Cook is an EIU graduate with a Bachelor’s in Family Consumer Science and a current graduate student in the Master’s Program of Public Policy. Karen is passionate about community support and identifying resources that best fit the needs of those in recovery. Karen assists communities in the service area by conducting needs assessments and implementing activities to support those in recovery from substance use disorder. Karen has prior experience in representing agencies at state and local levels for the advancement of agency programs.

Melissa manages our Adult and Adolescent Outpatient Program, along with our Intake Programs. Through her nearly two decades of experience in the substance use disorder field, she is able to assist clients from the very beginning with the intake process and see the progression that is made throughout their time in services.
Being able to intervene and work with women and teens to help positively redirect the trajectory of their lives is incredibly meaningful.

Nancy is responsible for coordinating the statewide Illinois Family Resource Center project.
With over 40 years working in the Substance Use Disorder field in both treatment and prevention, as well as “Lived Experience” with family members experiencing substance use disorders, she feels so fortunate to give back and make a difference in our client’s lives.
